Crusaders Football Club have been left red-faced after double-booking a concert at their stadium on the same night as a crucial European match.

The Danske Bank Premiership side were this week drawn against B36 Torshavn, from the Faroe Islands, in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

The first leg is due to be played at Seaview on July 11 - with a 3pm kick-off, due to the clash with the concert.

Acts such as Vixen, Fire Poise and Hounds of Ulster will be playing from 7.30pm to 11pm that night, ruling out the traditional 7.45pm kick-off.

Fans voiced their displeasure on social media, with many pointing out the match would take place during most supporters' working hours.

One commented: "Ridiculous kick off time - would need to book time off work and many others will as well if they want to go."

However, the outcome of the preliminary round tie involving Faroese team KI Klaksvik may see the Crues' home fixture switched to July 18.

The club asked fans to "refrain from making travel arrangements until the situation is clarified by Uefa".
