Cuts blast from DUP poll runner William McCrea
The impact of spending cuts imposed by the Tories is hurting everyone, a DUP MP has claimed.
In language more associated with Sinn Fein, which has strongly opposed the welfare reforms, William McCrea hit out at the Conservatives as he was unanimously re-selected as the DUP's South Antrim candidate to stand in May's general election.
"The massive cuts implemented by the Tories have hurt everyone in some way or another. Pensioners, working families, students, businesses, none has been immune from the cuts agenda implemented by the Tory government," he said.
Mr McCrea also pledged to oppose a proposed incinerator at Hightown and vowed to help Belfast International Airport expand.
