Delivery driver pulled from his van and threatened with iron bar in Donaghadee

A delivery driver has been pulled from his van and threatened with an iron bar after being flagged down by two men in Donaghadee.

At around 6.30am the delivery driver was travelling on the Killaughey Road when he was flagged down by the two men.

They pulled him from his van, threatened him with an iron bar and demanded money.

They then made off with a sum of money in a dark coloured car.

Detective Inspector Harry Colgan said: "The driver was left extremely shaken by the ordeal.

"I am asking anyone with information or anyone who was travelling on Killaughey Road, or surrounding roads at around 6.30am, to get in touch with us. You may have information that could assist the investigation. Detectives can be contacted by calling 101.”
