A delivery man was left with a broken jaw after being attacked in north Belfast.

He was travelling on his bicycle when he was attacked by two men in the Victoria Parade area of the New Lodge around 12.35pm on Sunday.

The delivery man was punched in the face and head and it is believed his assailants tried to steal items.

Police believe the attack may be linked to a burglary at a skate park in Little Patrick Street around 11.30am.

Two older teenagers demanded two 15-year-old boys empty their pockets and attacked them with a stone and a glass bottle. One of the attackers was allegedly in possession of a knife.

The assailants then fled on foot with a mobile phone belonging to one of the victims.

Descriptions of the suspects in both incidents are similar.

The PSNI said: "One suspect is described as a black male, around 17 or 18 years old, wearing a pink t-shirt and dark tracksuit bottoms.

"The other is described as a white male with a shaved head, also aged around 17 or 18 years old wearing a grey and black top and black tracksuit bottoms."
