MI5 agent Dennis McFadden originally claimed he was a former Army paratrooper and attempted to infiltrate loyalist groups before moving into dissident republican circles.

The Scottish agent, who disappeared from his home on the outskirts of Glengormley last August, was working as a bouncer in a popular Belfast city centre nightclub when he first moved to the city over 20 years ago.
