
A man has been fined £150 after his two Japanese Akita dogs attacked a cat.
Michael Hislop, from Majestic Drive in south Belfast, was also ordered to pay costs of £72 for the offence, which happened on April 15 last year.
The judge also issued confinement orders, meaning the dogs must be kept on a lead and muzzled at all times when in public.
Meanwhile, three other dog owners were also fined in court.
Margaret Mawhinney, from Cosgrave Heights in north Belfast, was fined £50 for allowing her dog to stray.
Aisha La Touche, from Killowen Street in south Belfast, was fined £40 for failing to have a licence for her dog. Linda Duke-Khader, also from Killowen Street, was fined £50 for allowing her dog to stray.
