Driver 'critical' after Co Londonderry car crash

A man has been airlifted to hospital after being involved in a car crash in Co Londonderry.

The incident happened on Tuesday in Limavady.

A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service spokesperson told the Belfast Telegraph they received a 999 call at 5.47pm following reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision on the Ballyquin Road.

Two emergency ambulance crews were dispatched to the incident. The Charity Air Ambulance was also tasked to the scene.

The man was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital were his condition is described as critical.
