Drug suspect 'connected to over 40 deals'
A Coleraine man charged over an drugs courier scam has been linked to more than 40 deals, the High Court has heard.
A so-called "assisting offender" claims he was involved with Peter Neill in a series of transactions.
Details emerged as Neill (49) secured permission to travel in a car in his home town. A judge was told he needs to be allowed to drive while on bail due to suspected threats against him.
Neill, of Hazelbank Road in Coleraine, faces charges of conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis on dates from September 2012 to December 2016 and other charges. Defence barrister Joe Brolly argued his client was in custody on some of the dates.
A prosecutor told the court some of the charges against Neill were based on claims from an unnamed assisting offender about travelling to collect drugs.
Lord Justice Weatherup ruled that O'Neill could travel in a private vehicle within the areas of Coleraine's ring-road.
