Dumped pups to spend their Christmas in animal hospital

By Cate McCurry

Three helpless puppies are searching for new homes after they were heartlessly dumped near a play park.

The abandoned black and white dogs were discovered in a small cardboard box in freezing weather by a shocked dog walker.

The Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals uploaded a video of the adorable animals - who appear to be a few weeks old - to its Facebook page.

The USPCS said the three pups will be needing a loving home soon.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year," the charity posted.

"Not for these poor little pups it isn't.

"Found by a caring dog walker, these pups appear to have been dumped and abandoned beside a children's play park in Co Armagh.

"They will spend Christmas in the care of the USPCA Animal Hospital before being put up for adoption in the new year."
