The 84-year-old has fond memories of the era of the Belfast-born Charlie Tully and Coleraine footballer Bertie Peacock strutting their stuff at Parkhead.
"The Lisbon Lions were a fantastic team, but for me it has always been about Charley Tully and Bertie Peacock," he told the Belfast Telegraph.
"I loved the way the team played and I'm glad to see Brendan Rodgers bringing it back.
"All my family are the Blues, they think I'm an eejit," the father of three and grandfather to five joked.
