Eamonn Holmes back on his dancing feet following hip op

By Staff Reporter

Look who's back on his feet again - TV presenter Eamonn Holmes shows he has made a remarkable recovery from his recent hip operations by dancing with his leading lady.

The couple were pictured dancing at a celebration for Sir Alex Ferguson's golden wedding anniversary.

The Belfast broadcaster tweeted the picture of him and wife Ruth Langsford on Saturday.

He joked that Ruth was "taking the place of my crutch".

He posted the photo with the caption: "Ruth making me work those hips on the dancefloor at Sir Alex and Lady Cathy's golden wedding party."

The 56-year-old had a double hip replacement operation in February. On Friday - just 10 weeks later - he was back on ITV's This Morning sofa.

Speaking on Friday, Ruth said: "I've had a few TV husbands sitting here with me but now I've got the best back. It's true."

To which Eamonn quipped: "We'll see how long it lasts."

He added: "If you are facing a hip operation or two as in my case, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It can be done, do your exercises, take your pain killers and you will get through it."

Eamonn is also expected to be back hosting Sky News Sunrise from this morning.
