Enniskillen: Chinese workers arrested in takeaway raid
Three Chinese workers have been arrested over immigration offences after a takeaway raid.
Immigration Enforcement officers visited China City on Forthill Street in Enniskillen on Thursday and discovered two men hiding in a room attached to the business. Another man was caught when he attempted to leave through a rear door. The trio, aged 34, 45 and 47, have been detained pending their removal from the country.
China City could have to pay up to £20,000 per illegal worker unless it can demonstrate appropriate checks were carried out.
Mike Golden, from Immigration Enforcement in Northern Ireland said using illegal labour "cheats the taxpayer".
