'EU rats out' Banbridge graffiti linked to attack on Bulgarian family - 'despicable' say police
Graffiti stating "EU rats out" along with a swastika has been linked to an incident in which a Bulgarian family's car was attacked.
The racist slogan was daubed on a wall in the Seapatrick Avenue of Banbridge on Tuesday. It has since been painted over.
Last week a car belonging to a Bulgarian family in Lincoln Walk had its windows smashed and the word "out" painted on its side.
In an appeal, police said they believed the two incidents were linked.
Chief Inspector Jon Burrows branded the crimes "despicable and unacceptable".
He appealed for people to contact his officers or to give information anonymously through Crimestoppers.
"We are doing everything we normally do to protect the victims, but I need a name to bring those responsible to justice.
"Please help us do this," he said.
