Event a Reflection of hope

To mark World Suicide Survivors Day, FASA and the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust are holding a “Reflection of Hope” event for families and friends bereaved by suicide.

“Suicide has had a huge impact on our community and surrounding areas, especially in the past year,” said a spokesperson for the event. “By taking the time to remember those who we have lost, we wish to instil a sense of hope for the future.”

The event will take place Saturday, November 20 at 3pm-4pm in the Walled Garden, Castle Park, Bangor and all are welcome.

At the event there will be a poem from a family member who has been bereaved by suicide, a message of hope, a lantern release and singing from Bangor Ladies Choir.

“Suicide knows no boundaries, so we hope that families and friends from all communities will come along and support this event.,” she added.
