Ex-GAA manager declared bankrupt

Former Armagh and Galway GAA manager Joe Kernan has been declared bankrupt.

The estate agent led Armagh to their first All-Ireland title in 2002. The following year they reached the final again but were beaten by Tyrone.

He established his Joe Kernan and Sons business in 1990 in Crossmaglen, Co Armagh, and at one point sold properties in Spain, London and across counties Armagh and Down.

Mr Kernan stepped down as Galway manager last month after rejecting a request from the county's GAA board to change his backroom team.
