Explosives enquiry

DETECTIVES in north Belfast are appealing for information following a small explosion at the front door of a house in the Carlisle Square area of the New Lodge on August 15.

The incident occurred at around 10.30pm and it is believed at this stage that the explosion was caused by a pipe bomb type device. There were no reports of any injuries and minor damage was caused to the door. Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact CID at Antrim Road on 0845 600 8000.
