Family appeals for return of son’s phone

The family of a young man who died when he fell from a wall has appealed for the return of his phone containing the last ever pictures taken of him.

Caolan Page (19) suffered |serious head injuries when he was found unconscious on Magazine Street in Derry city centre in the early hours of October 14 last. He died two days later.

Despite an extensive search by his family and police, his iPhone was never found. It contains hundreds of pictures of him, as well as his family and friends.

His step-father, Martin Dillon, said: “It's not for the value of the phone at all but what's |on it we are keen to have — |the recent photographs are very important to us. We have great memories of Caolan and many pictures, but it would be something special just to get the phone or just the Sim card with the pictures on it.”

Anybody who has the phone has been asked to post it anonymously to Martin Dillon, Killea, Lifford, Co Donegal.
