A fire at a flat in Portrush is being treated as arson, police have said.
It happened in Parker Avenue and was reported to police at around 1.25am yesterday.
Officers attended the scene a short time later, where firefighters had extinguished the blaze in the first floor flat.
The property was extensively smoke-damaged as a result of the incident.
An examination of the scene suggested the fire was started deliberately and the incident is being treated as arson, the PSNI said.
"No one was present in the flat at the time of the incident but the lives of nearby neighbours were put at risk by the reckless actions of the person or persons responsible for starting the fire," police said.
