Fire Service attend 113 Halloween incidents

Fire Service call outs were slightly up on last year as crews attended 113 incidents on Halloween night.

In a statement the Fire and Rescue Service said 36% of reported incidents were in the Southern Command Area which covers most of Counties Down and Armagh.

The majority of call outs involved rubbish, bonfires and a number of calls where tyres had been set alight.

Among the incidents, 25 were bonfire related with fire crews only required to take action on seven occasions.
