Firefighters deal with large blaze in Ballygowan

A large fire broke out at a derelict builders yard in Ballygowan on Monday evening.

The Fire Service says crews from Carryduff, Newtownards and Comber dealt with the blaze on Prospect Road in the Co Down village.

DUP councillor Trevor Cummings said four appliances attended the scene, while an aerial platform was also deployed.

There are no reports of any injuries.
