Firework injuries at record low
The lowest total of fireworks-related injuries on record was reported in Northern Ireland this year, it was revealed.
A total of six people, all male, went to hospital, with two aged under 18. The most common injury was to the face, head or neck.
A Department of Health report said: "When compared with the Halloween period in 2012, the number of persons injured has reduced by more than half from 14 to 6 in 2013, the lowest number since records began in 1996."
The six injured people attended emergency care departments at hospitals. A banger was responsible for one of this year's injuries.
