Flybe schedules extra flight for Ulster rugby fans heading to Twickenham
An extra flight has been laid on for Ulster rugby fans planning to go to the Heineken Cup Final next month.
Flybe will operate an extra service from George Best Belfast City Airport to Southampton on May 19, the day of the Ulster/Leinster clash at Twickenham, returning the next day. The flight will cost £39.99 each way, including taxes and charges.
The news comes after a Belfast Telegraph probe published yesterday revealed that return flights were soaring towards the £500 mark with various carriers.
The extra flight will depart at 9.15am. Trains leave directly from Southampton Airport and take 90 minutes to get to Twickenham. The return flight leaves Southampton at noon on Sunday.
EasyJet has said it will operate an extra flight from London Gatwick to bring fans home on Sunday at 12.45pm.
