Football club bans fan for life after Cliftonville abuse
Crusaders have banned a fan for life after an incident in the recent north Belfast derby against Cliftonville.
The game at Seaview earlier this month finished in a 2-0 win for the Crues.
Afterwards Cliftonville striker Joe Gormley claimed he was spat at and another supporter asked him where his dead father was.
Players and supporters from Crusaders were quick to condemn the people responsible.
In a statement Crusaders said: "Following an unsavoury incident at the Crusaders vs Cliftonville derby match of March 16 at Seaview the matter was investigated resulting in an indefinite (ie lifetime) ban for the 'supporter' concerned.
"Crusaders FC are committed to the promotion of a welcoming safe and family-friendly environment at Seaview and misbehaviour of this kind will not be tolerated."
