Four arrests following stabbing in Donaghadee

A man was stabbed in the back in a late-night attack in Co Down.

It happened in the Cannyreagh Road area of Donaghadee during the early hours of yesterday morning.

At around 4.15am police received a report of an altercation at a house.

The 22-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his back and was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

A second male, also aged 22, was taken to hospital for treatment for a head injury that is also not life-threatening.

A 19-year-old male, 25-year-old female and both injured males have been arrested on suspicion of a series of offences.

Police appealed for witnesses to contact detectives in Bangor on 101 quoting reference 358 08/04/18.
