Four held over series of incidents in Larne

Four men are being questioned in connection with a series of attacks in Larne over Easter.

Police say they are questioning four men as part of the wider investigation into recent incidents in Larne.

Detective chief inspector Dunny McCubbin said: "The males, aged 24, 28, 30 and 41 were detained in the Sallagh Park Central area of the town at around 1am this morning, Saturday April, 22.

"They remain in custody at this time assisting police with their enquiries.”

It comes after multiple car burnings in the Co Antrim town over the Easter weekend.

In the most recent incident a car was driven backwards into a hair salon on the town’s Main Street and set on fire.

The blaze at around 9.20pm on Monday causing extensive damage.

Police believe one man drove to the salon in the grey Nissan Primera involved in the blaze before fleeing on a blue and white motorcycle driven by a second individual.
