Four people arrested by the PSNI's terrorism investigation unit have been released.

Police made the arrests in connection with violent dissident republican activity following searches in Co Tyrone and Co Armagh on Thursday morning.

Two women, aged 31 and 23, and a 30-year-old man were arrested. A 55-year-old man was arrested later on Thursday.

Properties in Drumquin, Benburb and Armagh were searched and a number of items have been seized.

A 55-year-old man and 31-year-old woman have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service. 

A 23-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man have been released unconditionally.
