Four remanded on IRA membership charges
Four Belfast men have been remanded into custody after being charged with membership of the IRA.
Kevin O'Neill (58) from Coolnasilla Park South, is also charged with directing IRA activities between 1 December 2013 and 25 June this year.
Robert Warnock O'Neill (37) from Bingnian Drive, Daniel McClean (47) from Hannahglen Heights and Mark Gerard Heaney (48) from Lagmore Glen, all in west Belfast, are also charged with IRA membership and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
They are also accused of unlawful imprisonment and collecting information likely to be of use to terrorists.
Robert Warnock O'Neill is also charged with possession of a firearm while Mark Gerard Heaney faces three firearms charges and a further charge that between January last year and last April, he "authorised the carrying out of an attack on an unknown person.
The four men were remanded into custody to appear again on July 21 via videolink.
