Four roads closed as police investigate serious assault in Co Antrim village

Four roads are closed at a junction in Co Antrim village Cloughmills, where police are investigating a serious assault.

The Culcrum Road, Loughill Road, Drumadoon Road and Main Street have been closed to traffic as officers probe the incident, which happened shortly before 2.40am on Monday morning.
A 34-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are described as critical.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any information about the incident to contact CID in Coleraine Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
