Four-year-old boy found alone in the Shankill reunited with parents

A four-year-old boy with possible Downs Syndrome who was found alone by police in the Shankill area has been reunited with his parents.

Police issued an urgent appeal after the boy was found in the Conway Street area off the Shankill wearing a blue sleep suit with stars on it on Friday night.

Police said they believe the toddler who was found by three boys walking along the street, may have possible Downs Syndrome.

It is believed that the boy is called Oliver.

Police said he was fine and was with officers at Tennent Street station.

Just before 11pm police said they had located the parents of Oliver and he is being reunited with them at the moment - they thanked the public for their help after the urgent appeal.
