Frampton says 'cheers' to Belfast fans for their support

Carl Frampton MBE treated his fans in Belfast to a free pint to say thank you for all their support of the past year.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday night, Frampton posted:" Hoping to see some of the Jackal army out and about tonight in Belfast...I wanna buy you a pint."

The boxing champion was spotted out and about in a number of Belfast pubs including the Duke of York, Lavery's beer tent at the Christmas market and The Errigal.

In each pub, he bought a round of pints for fans to show his appreciation and also to celebrate with them after his win against Horacio Garcia at the SSE Arena on Saturday night.

Frampton even had a turn himself behind the bar pouring some pints.

He later returned to Twitter to say thank you: "As always thanks so much for the amazing support guys… it’s always special being able to fight in my hometown. Pints on me!"
