Fresh warning with snow and ice expected to last until Wednesday
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice through until Wednesday.
A previous warning had been in place for the extreme weather to sustain through to midnight on Tuesday.
The weather is now not expected to subside until 11am on Wednesday morning.
Frequent and heavy hail and snow showers are expected across the province.
Travel delays and the cancellation of public transport are possibilities.
There is also the potential for power cuts, and other services like mobile phone coverage being impacted.
Roads and pavements may become icy, with this increasing the chances of injuries from slips and falls.
