A full investigation file has been completed this week on a former Crossmaglen Rangers GAA official facing a litany of sexual abuse allegations.

Thomas McKenna (59), with an address of Maghaberry prison, is facing sex abuse charges which cover a period of 30 years between 1988 and his initial arrest in August 2018. The charges involving 12 victims include multiple indecent assaults on males and serious sexual assaults.

He is also charged with having 50,000 photos and video clips, many depicting young men and boys naked or partially clothed.

The former postman also faces charges of interfering with Royal Mail post.

Prosecution outlined at Newry Magistrates Court yesterday that they expected to receive the completed full file with submission to the PPS in the coming days.

The case was adjourned until April 1.
