By Staff Reporter

The funeral has taken place of Wilson Holden (60), the Northern Ireland Ploughing Association chairman.

Mr Holden died last week after suffering a stroke. His funeral was held yesterday at Gardenmore Presbyterian Church in Larne.

A dairy and cereal farmer, Mr Holden had recently celebrated his 60th birthday.

He was in his eighth year as chairman of the ploughing association.

Friends paying tribute to Mr Holden described him as a "true gentleman" who "enriched the lives of all those who had the fortune to have known him".
