Funeral for teenager Shea Martin hit by train

A 19-year-old Lurgan man who died after being hit by a train on Monday will be laid to rest tomorrow.

Shea Martin died after he was struck at Bells Row in Lurgan by the 6.30am train from Portadown to Belfast.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he passed away at the scene.

The Lismore Comprehensive School student's funeral will leave his late residence at Belvedere Manor at 11.15am tomorrow and following requiem mass at noon in St Peter's Church, North Street, Lurgan, he will be interred at St Colman's cemetery.

Dozens of sympathy messages have been posted by family friends and well-wishers on social media.

The teenager's funeral notice stated he was the "beloved son of Tracy and Liam and dear brother of Liam and Maria".

It said his death is "deeply regretted by his loving parents, sister, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family circle".
