Funeral held for Belfast estate agent Philip Johnston
The funeral took place yesterday of a former leading estate agent.
The body of Philip Johnston (51) was discovered at his Bangor home in the Bryansburn Road area last Wednesday. Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
His funeral service took place yesterday morning at Roselawn crematorium.
In a death notice, relatives asked that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Samaritans.
Mr Johnston (right) founded his own estate agent business which dominated the local market before allegations of money laundering were made against him in 2005.
He was arrested in April of that year, with police suspecting him of laundering money for UDA brigadier Jim Gray, but charges were later dropped.
A former colleague said he would be remembered as "a dynamic salesperson who loved his work" and became one of the biggest names in the industry.
