The funeral of a young father-of-one who died suddenly at home in Lisburn has taken place.

A service for 26-year-old Robbie Fleming was held at Ronnie Thompson's Funeral Church at 3pm yesterday, followed by committal at Roselawn Crematorium.

His heartbroken mother Alison thanked everyone who offered their condolences to the family on Facebook, adding: "We are devastated and cannot believe that our gorgeous, precious boy has gone; our whole lives are destroyed."

News of the football fan's death prompted a mass outpouring of grief on social media for the "unbelievable dad" to son Jack, with friends stressing that "mental health needs to be taken seriously".

Robbie is survived by his parents Vernon and Alison, his brothers Jordan and Jamie, and little Jack.
