The funeral of murder victim Joe Reilly will be held today in Poleglass.

Mr Reilly (43) was shot dead last Thursday in his home in Glenwood Court, west Belfast.

Requiem Mass for Mr Reilly, a father-of-one, will begin at 2.30pm at the nearby Church of the Nativity, where the principal celebrant will be Fr Pat Sheehan.

Mr Reilly's remains will then be taken to Roselawn Cemetery for cremation at 4.30pm.

On Monday night police searched a property in the Glenwood View area of west Belfast, an operation believed to be connected to the murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery, who is leading the investigation into Mr Reilly'sdeath, has described the murder as "a cold-blooded summary execution of a man in his own house".

The killers were described as being about six feet tall, wearing dark coats and dark trousers. One was wearing dark rimmed glasses and a Celtic scarf.
