Funeral of Ballycastle fire victim Sinead Stewart takes place

The funeral has taken place of a young mother who died in a tragic fire at her Co Antrim.

Sinead Stewart (27), who was four months pregnant, died at her Ballycastle home on Tuesday.

It is understood that the mother-of-one suffered an asthma attack as a result of the fire.

Despite emergency services, including an air ambulance, attending the incident, she died at the scene.

A requiem mass took place at St Patrick's and St Brigid's Church in Ballycastle at 10am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs Stewart married her husband Alistair in 2015, and the couple have a young daughter, Saoirse.
