A further two men have been arrested over allegations of historical abuse at a former young offenders unit in Co Down.

The pair were arrested by police investigating allegations of abuse at the former Rathgael facility in Bangor.

One man - aged 67 - was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault on a young female.

A 49-year-old was arrested over alleged cruelty to children.

Both offences date back to the 80s and 90s.

A total of seven men have now been arrested.

Four have since been reported to the Public Prosecution Service and a fifth man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
