Ulster Unionist MLA Leslie Cree has welcomed the news that Firmus Energy has announced it will freeze its gas prices for a further 12 months.
Commenting on the issue, the Ulster Unionist Party Enterprise Trade and Investment spokesperson said: “This news will be a welcome boost to both residential customers and to local businesses who will be able to budget for the coming year. In freezing their current rates they are giving their customers some wriggle room in what are currently very difficult economic times.
“Most households are trying to look at ways to economise and this will be one way in which they can save money. Given the hard winter we had last year this is welcome news to all those who use the Firmus service.”
