Girl hit with brick in park attack

A 14-year-old girl has been hit in the face with a brick during an assault at a Belfast park.

The attack happened at Orangefield park in the east of the city on Saturday, however police have only just released details.

Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have appealed for anyone who was in the area at about 8.30pm to come forward.

Constable Lukasz Adamczyk said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact police at Strandtown on the non-emergency number 101."
