Giro d'Italia fever has Northern Ireland all tickled pink

Northern Ireland has been well and truly gripped by the pink fever of the Giro d'Italia.

In the weeks leading up to the massive race, people from all over the country have been using the famous colours to show they are getting into the spirit of the event.

It has also been used to help bring greater attention to various campaigns and many good causes.

Fed-up mums declared war on the smelly scourge plaguing the pathways of Millisle in Co Down by painting dog excrement pink and took to Millisle beach to help the clean-up.

Also, more than 1,000 men and women will be taking to the streets of Belfast in a pink haze to walk 10 miles in aid of breast cancer awareness.

Action Cancer will sponsor the Moonlight Walk, which takes place on Friday, June 20, at Custom House Square.
