Following Gerry Adams' release of CCTV images of the attack on his home last Friday night, SDLP councillor Mairia Cahill has called on him to do likewise with information she believes he has over alleged IRA paedophiles.
Ms Cahill waived her right to anonymity in 2014 to reveal she was the victim of a long cycle of abuse, providing An Garda Siochana with more than 40 names of suspected abusers and an investigation is ongoing.
"Gerry Adams has provided CCTV of the despicable attack on his home. Mr Adams is on record in 2014 alleging that the names of IRA paedophiles were put through his letterbox of his home in Belfast," she said.
"If someone did walk up to his house and post this letter through his letterbox, why is that CCTV footage not being presented as evidence?
"He was asked to provide CCTV of this to the PSNI to assist them in an investigation and didn't do so."
A Sinn Fein spokesperson said: "Information provided to Gerry Adams was passed to An Garda Siochana. There was no CCTV footage."
