Golden girl Kelly in the running for 'legend' accolade
Northern Ireland's Winter Paralympic gold medallist Kelly Gallagher has said it is an honour to be shortlisted alongside some of the UK's sporting greats in a public vote to find the National Lottery's sporting legend.
To mark 25 years of the National Lottery, the search is on to discover the UK's favourite Lottery-funded people and projects.
Gallagher, from Bangor, and her gold medal-winning guide Charlotte Evans are in the mix with 11 other leading athletes.
In 2014, Kelly won Team GB's first ever Winter Paralympic gold medal. The 34-year-old is competing for the award against the likes of Sir Mo Farah (athletics) and Sir Steve Redgrave (rowing).
"It is an honour," she said.
