A goose which sustained a broken wing and leg after being attacked in Ballymena may have to be euthanised, the PSNI has said.

Police have appealed for information after the incident at the People's Park in the town sometime after 8.30pm on Wednesday.

It is understood the goose was grabbed by the neck initially before being subjected to blunt force resulting in its wing being broken and also a leg.

Police said it is not known if the animal will survive the attack or whether it will have to be euthanised.
