Great day out ... but no sign of Jean Claude

By Pamela Ballantine

Bar staff have to work rather unsociable hours so don't often get the chance to let their hair down, but they did when the participated in the "Damme Cold Adventure Day" organized by Molson Coors. What a competitive bunch they turned out to be when they took on the challenges set for them at We Are Vertigo.

Jean Claude Van Damme himself would have been proud of their exploits and the winners of the £1,000 were the staff from Sense Nightclub in Cookstown. I would imagine a fair few Coors Lights were downed to celebrate!

We all think our Mums are the best and now they are getting the proper recognition they deserve thanks to American Holidays. Nine ladies attended the final of Yummy Mummy of the Year in the Ivory Restaurant and Lurgan's Lynsey Gilkinson was crowned the winner as she picked the Senna Cosmetics goodie box which contained the lucky green apple and the star prize of a trip to New York. What a lucky lady!

I must admit I am a sucker for a good pizza so I was absolutely delighted to receive an invitation to the official opening of a new branch of Little Wing Pizzeria in Holywood. This is now the fifth in the chain to open the doors of its massive oven in the past five years and since then 750,000 pizzas have been sold.

I'm not telling you how many slices of them I have consumed!
