Hannah, the stylish design winner, does us all proud

Hannah Costello (14), from east Belfast, not only won £750 worth of Littlewoods vouchers in our Community Telegraph Pride of Britain competition — she got to go to the Pride of Britain awards in London this week.

To celebrate their sponsorship of the Pride of Britain Awards, launched a national search called Proud to Dress, which invited entrants from all over the country to design an outfit that best brought to life their interpretation of British pride.

Hannah won the Community Telegraph competition for her stylish design and was then chosen from the overall judging panel, that included Colleen Rooney, to be part of the national final shortlist of three, whose designs were all brought to life and on display for the evening.

Hannah was also awarded the title of national winner.

Colleen Rooney said: “I’ve been really impressed with the quality of the entries to the Littlewoods Proud to Dress Britain competition. Designs had to take inspiration from the colours of the Union Flag, to reflect’s sponsorship of the Pride of Britain Awards.

“The entries really embraced this theme and we received brilliant red, white and blue creations from people of every age all over the country. The three winners stood out to me because their designs were so creative in making items which were both patriotic and fashionable.”

A delighted Hannah said: “The whole experience was totally amazing and a wonderful opportunity. I was so happy to meet Coleen and for her to have chosen my outfit as the winning design.”
