The suspect was described as being of medium build with fair skin and wearing a blue coat

Police said no one was injured in the incident and a man was arrested later no Sunday evening in connection with the robbery before being released pending further investigation.

It's believed the incident may be linked to a similar robbery on the Antrim Road.

"On this occasion a man entered the store at around 7.20pm, armed with a hammer, and demanded cash which was handed over by staff.

"Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of either incident and I am appealing for anyone who can assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
