Health Minister Edwin Poots and chief medical officer Michael McBride are due to give evidence to a Stormont committee today over claims of a budget crisis.

Both are expected to answer questions about how the budget is being managed along with the potential of impact of cuts to services.

Edwin Poots has warned the executive that he could not deliver £140m of savings.

He also came under fire recently from his DUP colleague Finance Minister Simon Hamilton for "poor management" of the health budget with a £13m 'overspend' in the last quarter.
