Healthy children who have had asymptomatic Covid-19 infections have been treated in intensive care for a complication linked to the virus, a senior medic in Northern Ireland has warned.

Dr Thomas Bourke, who is Covid-19 lead for the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC), said children without underlying health conditions are not immune from becoming seriously ill as a result of the virus.
